In the state of Sergipe Djalma Correa recorded in the capital Aracaju, a group of Zabumba managed by Mr. Quendera . In Sergipe Zabumba is a common name for the demonstration that today is best known as FIFE BAND . These groups are common throughout northeastern Brazil and are also present in Minas Gerais and Goiás, receiving different denominations as Banda Cabaçal , TERNARY , HEAT Woman, Pife Band, Tabocal , and others.

Zabumba is a band composed of drums and fifes . The flutes or fifes , pifes , bagpipes , flutes made with  bamboo or TABOCA . The bando of Mr.Quendera was composed of six musicians : two flutes , the bass drum , the tambourine , the box and the triangle .

It is said that Mr. Quendera was present in the main cultural events in Aracaju and surroundings . He used to play in religious parades, novenas , government official parties. Yet , he hosted popular balls , celebrations during the month of June , wedding ceremonies , birthdays and auctions. For more than once represented the state in events on Brazilian folklore.

The repertoire of zabumbas is vast and varies according to the type of celebration that the group is following . The musicians play marches and dobled to accompany parades and religious novenas . For parties,in general,they interpret Choros , gherkins , Waltzes , Polkas , quadrilha , gallops , Baiões and Sambas , in any style. Mr.Quendera played an authorial repertoire and also recreated traditional compositions.
